Abstract. The basic principles of operation of a small-sized precision laser inclinometer (SSPLI) are shown, as well as its basic diagram. Preliminary results of annual measurements of the tilt of the earth’s surface using SSPLI in the area of the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky are presented. The operation of the device for recording the main microseismic phenomena is demonstrated: earthquakes, primary microseisms from the ocean, industrial noise, angular deformations of the Earth’s surface from the Moon and the Sun, free vibrations of the Earth’s surface. Based on the results obtained, a conclusion is made about the possibility of creating a network of SSPLI to record changes in the landscape of the Earth’s surface over a long period of at least one year.
Key words: inclinometer, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, precision laser inclinometer, earthquake, primary microseism, industrial noise.
